WHO WE ARE

Portuguese association located in Gothenburg. This association was founded on September 15, 1973.
Our objective is to keep alive the Portuguese language, traditions, customs, culture and pass this knowledge on to our future generations.
We are about 100 members (2021), this number varies every year.
This association organizes its activities together with the UPG - União dos Portugueses in Gothenburg.

The organized activities are for example commemoration of the main Portuguese and Swedish festivities, cultural events, and activities for the youngest.

Some examples are:

• Easter

• Day of Portugal, Camões and the Portuguese Communities

• Saint Martin

• Fado House

• Play in Portuguese

We are part of the organization of FRAMES - Portuguese Film Festival in the Gothenburg section (http://www.framesfestival.se , which organized its 9th edition in 2021.)

We are also a member of the Federation of Portuguese Associations in Sweden.
